Course Objectives:
- 1. (understand)Understanding of signal processing theory, in particular signals and their decomposition into frequency components.
- 2. (understand)Being able to design a simple filter for amplifying or attenuating frequencies in signals. Being able to analyze and design a simple controller.
- 3. (apply)Being able to apply the theory in practice by writing (Python) programs with which signals can be analyzed. Being able to use state-of-the-art program libraries for the Fast Fourier Transform (FFTW).
- 4. (understand)Being able to program and document a simple application of digital signal processing.
- 5. (understand)A presentation about a scientific article from the DSP domain
- 6. (understand)Understanding of basic digital control systems (PID) using Laplace transforms
